Meet Kelly
Kelly Jones has spent her career focused on improving outcomes and opportunities for children and families experiencing poverty. Over the past 16 years, Kelly has successfully led a diverse set of functional areas - including investment strategy, fundraising, partnerships and operations - within the nonprofit, philanthropic and corporate sectors.
Notable full time roles include serving as the Director of Government + Nonprofit at DoorDash where she empowered food banks and pantries to carry out their missions utilizing DoorDash technology and at A Better Chicago where she oversaw a diverse set of functions, including fundraising, investments, and strategy. Kelly also spent a decade at Teach For America, where she started her career as a classroom teacher in North Carolina and held various leadership roles in the Chicago region.
Kelly specializes in supporting organizations with setting vision and creating strategy, executive leadership and support, and growth strategy (including fundraising, partnerships and governance). Kelly holds a BA in history from Indiana University Bloomington and a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Kelly lives in Chicago and is the mom to a rambunctious toddler and three rescue dogs. In her free time, she serves on the board of Young Chicago Authors and teaches yoga in the community.
